On 19 May Miguel Hernández University of Elche and Grupo Marjal held the fifth Conference on Biodiversity and Management of Natural Spaces, attended by over 200 people in the Great Hall of the campus.

2004
On 20 May 2004, Grupo Marjal sponsored the fourth Conference on Biodiversity and Management of Native Species with the aim of promoting and disseminating knowledge of the relationship between the living species and the land they inhabit. This knowledge is fundamental to our understanding of how the environment works and, especially, with regard to establishing a more rational management system of the land based on its biodiversity.
